The reveal might have been a bit more of a surprise had the legendary skater not decided to send text messages about it a half hour before the reveal. But Tony Hawk is a boss and does what he wants.

The “remasters” see Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 in glorious 4K, with all the incredible locations you remember and a soundtrack straight outta’ the late 90s and early noughties. There’s the usual single-player mode, of course, but it’s accompanied by an online multiplayer mode complete with split-screen as well.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is done in partnership with Vicarious Visions, who’s also rumored to be handling the Diablo 2 remaster. More specifically, it’s the team behind the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy remastered.

Pro Skater 1+2 Remastered is also getting a complete control overhaul, too, making it easier to play in 2020 without tampering with the core experience.

Create-A-Park is coming back with improvements, letting you build your own skate arenas, customize them extensively, and share them online with friends. Its counterpart Create-A-Skater is back, too, with even more customization options to put yourself in the game.

There’s a lot more Summer Game Fest to come, including another new announcement tomorrow, so stay tuned to GameSkinny for more game news as it develops.
