They exist to take hits and keep your team alive with defensive skills. However, there are also Knights who like to get down and dirty in a fight alongside their Warrior and Thief peers. So if you want some recommendations then let’s take a look at a handful of best Knights in all of Epic Seven.
15. Ilynav
Rarity: 5* Element: Fire Ilynav was teased for such a long time. And fans were eager to get their hands on her. When they eventually did, a resounding “meh” wafted through the various servers. She’s a decent counter pick to certain drafts – but it will be a long time before she’s RTA viable.
14. Mort
Rarity: 5* Element: Earth What can be said about the great Mortelix that hasn’t been said already? Despite the consensus of Epic Seven players across the globe being that Mort is great and should be picked into every single draft… in reality, he’s just not that good. Mort is a niche counter pick. And although his injuries can come in handy, there are far better options when it comes to tanks or bruisers.
13. Rose
Rarity: 4* Element: Ice Rose is a decent free-to-play opener who can increase the combat readiness of her party. While she struggles to keep up with some of the more recent units like Peira or Ran, she provides support while they provide damage. Her skin is also fantastic and really gives her personality a fun injection.
12. Adventurer Ras
Rarity: 3* Element: Fire Rarely do the main characters of gacha games receive much love. Mash from FGO is an obvious exception – but usually the free protagonist given to all new players is relegated to the subs bench. This was the case for Ras for quite some time… until he received a much-needed specialty change! While this by no means catapulted Ras to the top of any tier list, it certainly made him more viable – and a great option for free-to-play players.
11. Lilias
Rarity: 5* Element: Fire Lilias is a great support tank. But she can also be used as a cleaver for those yearning for a little challenge. Lilias’ skill three can cleanse the party’s debuffs, while her second skill provokes and grants her a shield. Her skill one also triggers a dual attack – making her great for supporting your damage dealers. But let me get back to her skill three real quick – because that also scales with the highest party member’s attack. This makes her fun cleaver to use, albeit niche.
10. Charlotte
Rarity: 5* Element: Fire Charlotte has had a rocky ride over the years, and ultimately needed to receive a complete rework to be made viable. Luckily, this rework succeeded – and it made Charlotte a very good Bruiser. Her ability to stack defensive buffs while also cleansing herself makes her AOE skills hit like a truck!
9. Senya
Rarity: 5* Element: Earth Senya was a very hyped-up unit – and one who almost delivered on the promise of a powerful dragon slayer. Senya’s gimmick is her massive attack stat, but lack of critical hits. But when used in conjunction with Lilias, she can make for a great inclusion to your cleave team.
8. Last Rider Krau
Rarity: 5* Element: Light Last Rider Krau was a terror for quite some time – but is seldom seen nowadays. That by no means makes him a bad character. And as soon as the Rimuru and Rem nerfs roll around, he’ll surely be back on the streets, ready to mow people down with his motorcycle. With incredibly strong power on top of his natural bulk, LR Krau is on the precipice of greatness.
7. Krau
Rarity: 5* Element: Ice Krau is a hero that has received very few change over the years. So he still does what he always did: Buff defense, wait, nuke the enemy, revive with Holy Sacrifice, repeat. Krau is such a versatile unit that can be brought alongside almost any team composition. Whether you prefer a more consistent build with Aurius, or want to test you luck with Holy Sacrifice, Krau is a stable & valuable unit to pick up.
6. Ambitious Tywin
Rarity: 5* Element: Light A. Tywin has fallen out of the meta somewhat as of late, but still excels against debuff-heavy teams. His ability to cleanse the entire party’s debuffs when suffering a hit makes him a must-ban hero against certain compositions. His kit also offers a lot of versatility thanks to his skill three, which can inflict multiple stuns on the enemy team.
5. Troublemaker Crozet
Rarity: 4* Element: Dark Troublemaker Crozet lives up to his namesake by being an incredible annoyance in all forms of PVP. T. Crozet elevates heroes like Landy and Little Queen Charlotte to new heights with his ability to boost their combat readiness, cleanse their debuffs, and keep them alive with defensive buffs. He really is a troublemaker…
4. Falconer Kluri
Rarity: 3* Element: Earth Falconer Kluri, alongside heroes like A.Momo and A.Ras, are a small subset of specialty change heroes that are actually incredibly strong and viable in the meta (as of this writing). Fluri excels not only in general PVP as a reliable opener, but also in almost all forms of PVP due to her buff strip and defense break. She’s great in Hunts too (such as Azimanak), but also excels in Abyss. I’d say she’s by far the hero you should specialty change first.
3. Crimson Armin
Rarity: 4* Element: Light Carmin’s place in the meta has fluctuated a lot over the years. While she was once incredibly powerful, she received limited use as time went on. However, players are noticing her again – so her usage starting to pick back up again. And she’s still as strong as she always was. Party-wide invincibility is nothing to scoff at, and that’s what makes Carmin so special.
2. Belian
Rarity: 5* Element: Light Belian is an incredibly strong hero at the moment, especially when used on an injury set. Her skill one inflicts AOE damage, dispels debuffs, and has a chance to inflict a second AOE attack which provokes. Her skill three has a similar effect – and when equipped with the Elbris Ritual Sword, she’ll counterattack after an ally suffers damage. Belian also possesses the incredible ability to deny the use of enemy souls, which cripples some openers like Ran or Assassin Cidd.
1. Fallen Cecilia
Rarity: 5* Element: Dark Fallen Cecilia has been at the very top of the Knight meta ever since her release. Over time, with the emergency of tankier units and Bruisers who benefit from F.Ceci’s defensive capabilities, she has only grown in value. F.Ceci’s bulk and support make her one of the greatest picks in all of RTA. While she sees little to no use in PVE content, her dominance in PVP cannot be ignored.
